There is no doubt that with interest rates still low, buying is the best option to build equity, accumulate wealth, and invest in your future. Your monthly mortgage payment might even be less than what you pay for rent (and rents generally increase each year).

In many cases though, it might not be feasible to commit long term to, or afford, the kind of home you want to buy in the location you want to buy right now.
